2. Build the lats
Your lats (latissimi dorsi) are your back muscles. They help create that hourglass silhouette or V-shape. If your waist is naturally straight or boxy, wide lats can help sculpt your torso to make it more angular.
Our favorite exercises for building the lats are lat pulldowns (underhand grip), dumbbell rows and deadlifts. Feel free to let us know your favorite lat exercises in the comments!
