What is it that you want to do exactly? Determine your goals ahead of time and give yourself a timeline to accomplish them. You can’t do everything at once, so manage your expectations. None of that build-30-pounds-of-muscle-in-12 weeks, or get-a-3x-bodyweight-deadlift-in-one-training-cycle.
Find out how much you can realistically accomplish within your given timeframe based on studies and research, not what random people tell you.
“You’re there to work, not look cute.” this should be printed and hanged in every gym.
