Egg whites are a staple in our diets, both on and off season. It's easy to cook and you get a lot of volume for very low calories, which means more room for other foods to fit into your macros. This recipes a HUGE omelette for just under 400 calories.
Ingredients
300 grams of egg whites
155 grams of white potatoes
40 grams of green bell pepper
40 grams of tomato
40 grams of white onion
3 cloves of garlic
1 slice (20g) of Laughing Cow Light Cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Peel and dice the potatoes.
Put the potatoes in a pan and pour just enough water to completely submerge the potatoes. Boil until the potatoes soften.
While the potatoes are softening, dice the green bell pepper, tomatoes, and white onions. Set aside on a plate.
Mince the 3 cloves of garlic and sautè with the white onions, green bell pepper, and tomatoes.
Season with salt and pepper and set it aside on another plate.
Pour the 300 grams of egg whites into a non-stick pan.
Add in the potatoes and all the sautèed ingredients to the egg whites.
Flip your omellete carefully.
Tear the cheese into small bits and add to the top of your omellete.
Notes
You will need a medium sized pan for this recipe. If you have more fats to play with, you can subtract 100g of egg whites and replace it with 1 whole large egg instead. Or, you could do all egg whites and just use regular high-fat cheese.
