4. You’re not happy
It’s difficult to build muscle when you don’t eat enough because you’re forcing yourself to eat foods that you don’t enjoy. This is especially true for the hard-gainers or ectomorphs with small appetites or those who burn a lot of calories through day-to-day activities and/or sports.
Also, make sure that you’re enjoying yourself at the gym too. If you’re just forcing yourself for the sake of getting a six-pack, you won’t last very long in this “journey.” I love training for strength, so going to the gym was never a problem for me, but I know not everyone does. And that’s okay! If lifting isn’t your thing, you can also do yoga, Barre, pilates, spinning, zumba, etc. Whatever it is, make sure you enjoy it.
